Polarized Sports Sunglasses

Costa Sunglasses, handcrafted in the USA since 1983, has introduced a number of new design models to their patented 580 Lense collection of outdoor sports sunglasses. The patented 580 Lense, available in glass (580G) or polycarbonate (580P), provides 100% polarization, and 100% UV A/B/C protection with the highest clarity vision available in sunglasses today.

Costa 580s come in six different shades and mirrored finishes that eliminate almost all detrimental yellow light while boosting reds, blues, and greens, and reducing other "visual noise." The result is unsurpassed definition, enhanced natural color, and sharper contrast. The company’s prescription sunglass program also accommodates a wide range of corrective vision needs, including single vision, progressive, and bifocal lenses. For my eyes, the green mirrored 580G lenses performed exceptionally well while sailing on the Bay.

Fashionable, durable, and comfortable Costa Sunglasses come in frameless and framed models in an array of colors and styles. The new Motu, Rafael, and Trevally styles are made of a nearly indestructible bio-based resin material sourced from castor plants, a sustainable, hardy perennial. This resin produces frames with increased durability, lighter weight, and the ability to hold shape in extreme heat and bitter cold temperatures. This frame construction also reduces Costa’s manufacturing process emissions, and cuts the company’s carbon footprint significantly.

The Trevally model with green mirror 580P lenses retails for $179.00. For other pricing and information visit
