Move Small Boats Safely And Easily With Wheel-A-Weigh

As nimble as they are on the water, small boats are awkward to move over dry land. By oneself or on a windy day, attempting it can be outright dangerous. Davis Instruments Wheel-a-Weigh™ is set of removable launching wheels that mount on the transom of dinghies, RIBs and tenders. It provides the ability to simply roll the boat to the water instead of wrestling and potentially damaging it.

Wheel-a-Weigh comes in two versions. The Standard model is for boats up to 220 lbs. and the robust Extra Duty accommodates up to 330 lbs.

Using Wheel-a-Weigh is fast and easy. Stainless steel pivot brackets are permanently installed onto the solid transom of an inflatable, fiberglass, aluminum or wooden vessel. Positioning them at the widest point possible ensures maximum stability and room for an outboard, if used. Then, the wheel assemblies are attached to the brackets using quick-release pins. Once at the water they can be flipped up out of the way or simply removed for storage.

With non-corrosive wheel hubs for years of easy rolling, Wheel-a-Weigh is built to last. The Standard model weighs 9.3 pounds and comes with straight frames and 10-inch inflatable tires. The Extra Duty weighs 15.8 pounds has 14-inch tires and innovative curved frames that move the point of balance farther forward for increased maneuverability. Wheel-a-Weigh Standard costs $169.99 and the Extra Duty model, $259.99.

Fix8 Structural Silicone Delivers Long-Lasting Performance

Between environmental extremes and constant motion, boats and RVs demand adhesive sealants that provide long-lasting performance. FixTech Fix8 is a high-quality, architectural-grade structural silicone that′s perfect for interior and exterior bonding and sealing.

Waterproof Fix8 adheres to nearly everything, even without a primer, so prep time is minimized. It has a paste-like consistency that is easy to apply to a clean, dry surface in temperatures between 40° and 100°. The material remains workable for 30-45 minutes before skin formation with mild, diluted soapy water. It has a low flame spread and toxicity. Fix8 cures in 24 hours with a minimal 3% shrink. The product is UV, mold, heat and age-resistant and remains permanently elastic.

Fix8 is not paintable, but it is completely colorfast. The white version does not yellow, and the black retains its deep, dark color.

If unopened and stored in a cool, dry place, Fix8 has a shelf life of 12 months from date of production. It is available in standard 10.1 fl. oz. cartridges and costs $15.15.

Unlike Hands, Seasucker Will Not Drop A Hand-Held Device

The problem with hand-held electronics is that hands drop them. SeaSucker does not even during happy hour. Its innovative Naked Flex Mount modular system installs almost anywhere without drilling holes and holds a wide range of devices, whether it is a GPS on the helm, GoPro capturing wakeboard action or tablet playing a movie down below.

The Naked Flex Mount is a 7-inch flexible, yet sturdy gooseneck arm with a 4.5-inch Vacuum Mount installed on either end. Unlike a mere suction cup, each has 120 pounds of holding power when installed on a clean, non-porous surface. Made in the USA for a marine environment, the UV-stabilized rubber is non-marking and all hardware is 316 stainless steel.

Used by itself, the Naked Flex Mount is perfect for holding a tablet or larger smartphone. For smaller devices, one of the Vacuum Mounts can be removed and a Flex-X Phone Adapter added. Its unique frame expands to accommodate different size devices while keeping them secure. The GoPro Adapter attaches similarly and holds GoPro and Garmin VIRB cameras.

Available in black or white, the SeaSucker Naked Flex Mount sells for $105; Flex-X Phone Adapter, $35; and GoPro Adapter, $10.
